Museum of Glass

The Museum of Glass is an organization co-chaired by George and Jane Russell that was founded to celebrate the creative process of glass art.

Construction of the museum just started in September 2000 in Tacoma, Washington.

Synth-Bank®'s President, Bryan Bell, has been a consultant to the program committees and technology committees since the idea for the museum was first conceived. Both Bell and Richard Russell are working as the multi-media architects designing what they call the "Museum of the Future" portion of the project.

"The future web sites have 2-D scanning, 3-D scanning, knowledge management, intellectual property management, video studio, audio studio, theater, and grand hallway video walls. All of the electronic features are going to make it more than a collection," Bell explains. "Those things enable the museum to be interactive, and to be a research institute, and to communicate the mission of the glass museum throughout the world."
